I started working at my first apartment complex when I was 15 years old. I needed money for a car and my father came up with a unique way to teach me the American work ethic. He worked out a deal with the manager of the apartment complex we lived in to hire me to clean up around the dumpsters, tidy up around the pool area, and sweep sand back into the playground every morning before school. Little did I know, my father was paying my salary. I did a good job and when I turned 16 the company told me the truth and hired me for real. The maintenance super liked me and began the process of teaching me about multifamily housing maintenance. I now have over 30 years experience in the residential maintenance and repair industry.
